Students are to watch the video below (up to 9:35) and take notes on the Crash Course: Nervous System document found in the Notes folder. If a student does not want to write on their iPad, they are free to take notes in their own notebook instead. For the questions about your brain, you can either reference the video at the bottom, or research the answers. When finished, students have time to work on their project. It is expected that students pick one of their biology concepts and begin writing an outline of their two paragraphs they must have over the topic. Students may also read "The Hot Zone" if they prefer. Sub today:
Students are to: 1. Take notes on the respiratory system using the powerpoint. 2. Label the respiratory diagram given on Wednesday. 3. Do any of the following: - read The Hot Zone - do Practice EOC #3 - finish Systems Worksheet #1 Sub today:
Students are to: 1. Take notes on skeletal system from powerpoint. 2. Label a skeleton diagram using the skittle model in the room. 3. Cut out a skeleton and label his bones. Don't forget to make him do an activity! This is due Monday, Dec. 7 Today we introduced the mandatory project, "Biology is Everywhere". Details for the project can be found under the "Hot Zone and Projects" tab under the Second Nine Weeks. The paper is due and presentations will begin January 6th.
We discussed the circulatory system today (cardiovascular and lymphatic). A heart diagram was given to everyone to label and color. It can be found in the worksheets folder. Today we discussed the muscular system (can be found in the same powerpoint as yesterday). After completing our discussion, we practiced using our muscles during the Muscle Fatigue Lab, AKA The omgthishurtsmakeitstop Lab. :)
